I picked this one up, and as I went to research it, I kind of laughed at the fact that the website is all in French; I loved their audacity to keep it their way and not parlay to the rest of the world.

This wine is a semi-dry/semi-sweet blush made from the Cinsault grape. It's probably the perfect summer accompaniment to fresh fruit and veggies, salads, and very light fare. Being Cinsault, I really can't give you much on flavor, but to say that I am reminded of rose-hip tea. It's not bad, but it's nothing spectacular either. I would consider this something great while talking, which doesn't distract from the subject matter(s) at hand.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
